In 2024, Esperance Distillery acquired Lisandras Distillery and with it their filled whisky barrels and copper pot stills. Lisandras' founder, Andras, is Hungarian, and he and James bonded over a love of Hungarian oak whiskies. This smooth single malt is our first 200L cask release, matured in an ex-Tokaji cask — Hungarian oak that once held Hungary's celebrated sweet wine — layering honeyed dried fruit over dark chocolate and toasted spice. Produced with 100% WA malt barley and Esperance rainwater, it was aged for almost four years between Perth and Esperance. Andras said this would be a special one — we certainly think it is.
